BAGGIES HOLD TALKS WITH SCHARNER

West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed the club are in talks to sign former Wigan star Paul Scharner. Scharner is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Wigan and he watched West Brom's defeat by Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Di Matteo is keen to add to his squad before the close of the transfer window and is hopeful of agreeing a deal to bring Scharner to The Hawthorns. "We are talking to Paul and we will see if there is a possibility to do a deal with him," said Di Matteo. "I guess that would conclude our [transfer] business." Source From: Sporting Life
